Worshiping At The Alter
As stated in the YouTube description: certain types of parodies by certain 'specialist' artists.
Most likely, the best-known song in this package is “Money For Nothing/Beverly Hillbillies,” Weird Al Yankovic’s combination-type parody. It featured Mark Knopfler on guitar - basically replicating his work on the original Dire Sraits track - and had a music video patterned after the latter.
The 2nd-best-known song might be Weird Al’s “Yoda” (parodying The Kinks’ “Lola”); OR, it just might be the initially notorious and controversial single “Gilligan’s Island (Stairway)” by the Bay Area’s own Little Roger & The Goosebumps - relatively obscure though that record has always remained. Based on “Stairway To Heaven,” it immediately incurred legal threats on behalf of both the TV show and Led Zeppelin themselves - though Robert Plant always loved it, and some years later was happy to say so personally to “Little” Roger Clark.
And, apparently, it was hearing “Gilligan’s Island (Stairway)” that inspired Cal Poly student Alfred Yankovic to create his own song parodies. “My Bologna” came out a year later - around the same time he recorded (or at least first recorded) “Pac-Man” -
